Pakistan and China lasting relations can’t be found in the history .The development of this relationship
went higher and higher ,day by day .Terrorism has become a major and highly
destructive phenomena in recent years .Nine Eleven incidents of terrorism
changed the world politics, so for the politics and foreign policy of Pakistan
also changed .
In the war
on terror, the world wants full support and act from Pakistan to fight against
terrorism. We have no choices, have to support the US and Western world, so for
we will gain the Coalition
Support Funds to erupt terrorism and extremism from the country, specially
Taliban and Al-Qaeda; or we would be
accepted as a terrorist state and the world would banned us from all supports and funds. The
question of “YESS” had been asked from the then
US secretary of State Colin
Luther Powell to then president of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf, whom thinking
the consequences Pakistan as rouge state by the western world said YESS to
astonish the Colin Luther Powell and the Americans.
The Post
9/11 war on terror in Pakistan has had two principal elements :the governments
battle with Jehadis groups banned after the attacks in US, and the Us pursuit of Al-Qaeda usually
(but not always) in co-operation with Pakistani forces. From Nine Eleven to
2014 ,this period was very difficult for the Pakistani people .In all
situations China completely back and supported
Pakistan to fulfill his
friendship. A continues series of bomb
blast ,suicidal attacks thrash Pakistani people with fear and tear in their
eyes but China never leave him alone .
These
relations are bilateral and also need for the people of China as well. A strong
and developed Pakistan is the key of a
safe and strong China.US presence in Afghanistan and 2014 withdrawal would also
effect the polices of Pak China relations.US
consider China as a threat for his
economy and technology. India has its own precautions from China as well as Russia. Pakistan is the
only country in the region that prevents the benefits of China.
According to
THE LONDON POST,China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), an ambitious $46
billion investment plan linking western China to the Arabian Sea with
infrastructure, energy and transport projects are the real sign of the bond of
both countries. The China Pakistan Economic Corridor is of huge significance,
it runs through one of the most important and vital geostrategic locations in
South Asia. Gwadar port is one of China,s String of Pearls planned by China in
Central, South and South East Asia to expand its political and economic
influence and get these regions in its grip. China makes huge gains once Gwadar
port is fully functioning, its previous shipping route passed through the
Strait of Malacca, taking 45 days to reach destinations in Europe via the
Middle East. Once the CPEC reaches completion, it will take Chinese shipments
just 10 days to reach the same places. The Malacca route also carried risks of
a blockade by United States Pacific Command if hostilities peak so the CPEC is
a dream come true for China in all its aspects.
A major portion of CPEC is reserved for power projects, extensive road networks and major infrastructure. The three trade routes are all inter-connected, starting from the Arabian Sea up till the Himalayas, they have inter-linked transportation. Pakistan will also make immediate gains from its membership of the SCO. Pakistan has signed a series of landmark agreements with China, worth an estimated $46 billion, to secure investment for the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which is a network of roads, railways and pipelines that connect Gwadar port in Pakistan’s southern province of Baluchistan to Kashgar in China’s western province of Xinjiang.

The US has
its pivot to Asia, to contain China’s economic and military expansion in the
Asia-Pacific. The US allies are India, Japan, Indonesia and Singapore in its endeavor to ‘slay the Chinese dragon. In this tense scenario, Pakistan emerges
as a major player of great value to both China and the U.S., it has the
potential to balance Sino-US rivalry and expand trade in this region. Although plans are there to sabotage the CPEC but Pakistan
are confident to retaliate the enemy.
